College football rule changes

In the past I've been very critical of the NCAA clock changes. This last Saturday I was all for them. It was cold and raining and I wanted the game to end. I also renewed a disdain for the t.v. timeout guy.

So now it's Wednesday and I'm still sick from Saturday. I'm coughing up brown stuff and just feel sick. Big fun.

You know, of course, that the biggest culprit in the length of a game is not the game itself, but the tv timeouts. Games would not be over 3 hours if there weren't endless tv timeouts.

But they couldn't tell the tv networks to shorten their breaks, so they shortened the game itself -- the very thing fans are there to see. And somehow this makes sense to the NCAA...

Oh well.
