The bloody sock

Curt Schilling has nothing on me. This injury happened early in my 5 mile run yesterday. It's a wound that I reopen often by accidently kicking my ankle while running. Schilling sent his bloody sock to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I think I'll just have Steph wash mine.

Thanks for the disgusting photo ...

You and I must share the same lousy running form, because I often do the same thing - always on the inside of the left ankle - though, I think shoes and/or running surface play a big part too. It seems to happen most when getting used to a new pair and when going from mostly outside running to the treadmill.

Enjoy the anticipation of knowing that you're likely to kick it and open it up on every run -- that's lots of fun too! (Seriously, it does eventually go away - I think ...)
